Happy Thanksgiving!!
Aaahhh!!!! It's Thanksgiving, and at the moment only 11 am. I'm watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Good Charlotte is performing right now. Now this Sarah Brighton is singing on a boat full of pirates. And some of them are acrobats..
Anyway, I'm gonna use blogger as a sort-of escape today to pass the time and get something accomplished. Ugh man, I feel and look so crappy today. And I'm being lethargic!
Now for another installment of the search for the perfect Pecan Twirls (we found them, by the way ;) but it'll be in another post). These are Mrs. Freshley's, which they sell at Safeway. I think they can be found other places, but that's where we see 'em.

They look good, but they suck. I don't remember why, but I know they do. I think they just weren't moist, which is essential. I'm just so mad at Safeway for abandoning their delicious store brand for this crap!!!
Speaking of Safeway, Eating Right Cashew Chicken.

Besides the sodium, the nutrition facts aren't bad. The meal was actually pretty good though!! Here's the best pic I took..

It really does taste better than it looks! Like if I saw this I'd be like "yeah, ok.." but it WAS good! Haha, I love how I'm talking about packaged sweets and frozen food on THANKSGIVING. Which is totally not about that. So.. to redeem myself, I'll share some mostly home-cooked dinner shots.

So this was lemon-herb peppercorn marinated chicken, boiled potato, and Pepperidge Farm (Enriched!) Club Rolls, and broccoli (which was from frozen, but hey..).

I'm a loser.

Stupid Post from Stupid Me
AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH.. I'm sick of ME.
I'll still share some pictures because it's what I do.

Pasta Plus leftovers. I guess this was the first half. The second half I ate the eggplant and sauce off of.. but I didn't eat much of the noodles—cuz I was really pissed at the time—so I trashed the rest. It looks kinda weird anyway lol.
So yeah, I've felt sucky since last night. I'm acting all emo, but I can't help it. I just feel all blah and blue.
I got these shoes a while ago and haven't worn 'em yet. Not sure what to wear them with..... I don't usually do those colors or hells, but they were on sale. Hah, I was trying to position them like they do in catalogs or something. It utterly failed, but at least you can see it has a little heel!

Backseat groceries! Oo-lala.

Yeah, that was in October when it was still WARM enough for Frappuccinos..
This is what me getting tired of blogging looks like:

Pasta Plus
No, not extra pasta. It's the name of the restaurant we went to for my sister's birthday! (over a month ago..)
It's a fairly nice restaurant. I didn't get any pics really of my surroundings, but based on the table it looks nice, doesn't it?

And there was bread.

Bread with oil...

Bread with butter...

And I do realize that bread isn't that thrilling. The bread itself was really thick and pillowy. Good, but not truly special. But we're moving away from the starchy carbs for a moment to have an oh glorious salad.

That was nice. Now back to your regularly scheduled utter carbs.
(Wait- salad review. If I remember correctly, I think it was also good but nothing to get up and dance about. Coulda done with more tomato!! I like them.)
Wow. It's, um.. hard to decide on photos. It's between the kinda dark and grainy one and the really high exposure(?) one. I'll let you pick.

It's like reality vs. neon colors.
So... what I got was Fettuccine Verde. Spinach fettuccine with eggplant, ricotta cheese, and tomato sauce. I'm glad the fettuccine was healthy(-ish), but it was all stuck together in a big mound. I guess since there was no oil on it or something. So I'm on the fence.. I don't like having to DIG and RIP into my noodles to eat!

What was left:

I had some tiramisu for dessert. I now realize I'm really not a tiramisu kinda girl. I should've gotten the mousse cake. Rich, dense, chocolatey. I'm THAT kind of girl. Tiramisu is fine though.

Mission: Complete.

Alone on a Saturday Night
I've just discovered that I don't want to go to sleep (or do anything else) quite yet. So I'm gonna do a freestyle-kinda random stuff post.
My mom gave me some extra Disney stamps that she had. My favorite of which:

*Melts into a pool of Lion King adoration*
Oh, this is the aforementioned (if you read the post that mentioned it) cross-stitch I'm working on. I've gotten a bit further since this pic actually, but I probably won't post another one unless it's uber cool or finished.

Here's a funky purse I got. It's "Fafi for LeSportsac"

You know what's weird..? I actually thought about WoW the other night, and I was thinking about MC (Molten Core). I could barely remember the whatchamacallit.. routine.. plan.. thing. Now I'm listening to the song MC Raiders. Haha, it definitely brings back memories!! And it's pretty hilarious. I can still hardly remember the boss names.

Green Means Go, Yellow Means Slow...
I know I've already done a macaroni and cheese post, so I'm gonna try to use different-ish pictures for this macaroni and cheese post :D. At least, they don't look exactly the same. Ah, choosing pictures while listening to Lord of the Rings Shire music.

There you have it, my macaroni and cheese show. Made possible by.. a mom who cooks.
Btw.. my post title could be interpreted as green=go=healthy peas while yellow=slow=take it easy on the macaroni!

I Write & Eat Panera in Excess
Let's get to it! From last entry's Panera pickup, we also got 3 very widely-cut whole grain baguettes. That kind of thing amuses me.

And with one, I made a really lame sandwich! Of course.. the same kind of sandwich I always make. But with different bread, so that's ok, yeah?

K, next food subject. I tried some more Dannon Light & Fit yogurt.

And collectively... out of both yogurts.. the only thing I liked about it was the "strawberry" pieces. Other than that it's too disgustingly sweet. I couldn't even finish the vanilla cuz it was just gross. I tried another kind recently (which I'll post in the future) that wasn't the weird combination of almost enjoyment and disgust I've been experiencing with yogurt -- I actually pretty much liked it!!
So Oct. 11th we went to:

And I got that pretty new cross-stitch pattern! I'll start working on it after I'm (if I'm ever) done with the one I'm currently working on. Of course, it'll look much better in actual crossed stitches. We also went to a quilt store and a yarn store.. but I couldn't have cared less, was cold, and my feet hurt because I decided (genius that I am) to wear random uncomfortable heels.

Back to Panera it is!! Yes, we actually went back a couple days later (craft store day) with my sister. I had the vegetarian black bean soup for the first time (really good!) and the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad.. for like the 4th or 5th time? Hah. I dunno. And of course the whole grain baguette.

I just realized that there's a date printed on my Starbucks 60% post-consumer fiber sleeve. I guess that's the date it was made? Unless it's expired.. (joke).

Blurry Eyes
My back hurts kinda. Ok, so on October 9th I went to the eye doctor, in short, because the MVA is a fucking idiotic system.
I like dinosaurs a lot actually. Not as much as some things, like unicorns and dragons, but I do like them bunches! They're so massive and also mysterious. All the science in the world can't truly prove that what we think of as dinosaurs.. are actually like dinosaurs at all. Hmm maybe that's not completely true, but I think it's nigh impossible to pinpoint the outward appearance of a dino. Though bones are recovered, how do you ever know if all that long-since decomposed tissue looks the way they figure?
Anyway, after the appointment my eyes were very dilated. I could barely open my eyes in the sunlight! It was so BLINDING! We went to get Panera and I was all weird-eyed, so I hope they didn't think I was too much of a freak..
I got a Chicken Pomodoro Panini. It's not what I ordered, but it's what I got. What I ordered was the Portabello and Mozzarella Panini. At least it wasn't some crazy sandwich with beef jerky and sauerkraut. So I got that sandwich with a half Orchard Harvest Salad.

There's a leaf in my panini.^

Pop Culture
I'm a weirdo. I either can barely force myself to finish a blog entry with 3 sentences and a picture OR I can't stop writing posts where I ramble on and on forever and ever and post a billion photos.
The last few days have been the latter. I guess once you get the ball rolling.. down a hill.. away from you.. it's hard to stop it.
I'm gonna resort to my Blockbuster rental history for this one. Since the last movies, I've only watched Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and started Ocean's Eleven. My dad keeps going on about Ocean's Thirteen so I want to at least be able to watch it too when I rent it for him. Hence my rushing to see Eleven and Twelve. Nausicaa was pretty good. I mean, much like other Miyazaki films. I liked it, just not as much as Spirited Away and the like.

Recently on TV I've been into...
Monday: Heroes, How Do I Look?
Tuesday: NOTHING. There's nothing for me!
Wednesday: America's Next Top Model, Gossip Girl, and Project Runway starting next week!!!
Thursday: Ugly Betty and I sometimes watch Grey's Anatomy since it comes on right after.
Friday: What Not to Wear
Saturday: Yeah, whatever.
Sunday: The Next Iron Chef til it ends (is this week the finale?), Iron Chef

That's basically it. In the anime dept. I've been watching Air TV (at first it seemed okay, but nothing special - now I find it sad and intriguing and I really can't wait to see the last volume!). Also Le Chevalier d'Eon and Mai-Otome, both of which I really like, but haven't gotten a new volume of either lately.

I tried this Honest Tea, Peach Oo-La-Long flavor. It's... fine. I didn't add any splenda to it because it was sweet enough, but I'm just not much of a tea person.
