Renaissance Festival

Thou shalt not leave thy century without one!

Do not let thyself be caught off guard!

Mmm, apple dumplings and ice cream! Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?

Aw, nuts!

Ok, so an actual sidenote - I never knew these sorts of cinnamon-encrusted nuts existed until this day at the Renn Fest. And boy, are they good! I actually only stole one pecan and one cashew from each respective buyer, but they were enough to know.

But I did get myself a pretty necklace! It was from the Moon Angel shop where I also got a pretty necklace last year. However, that one I don't wear much because I got the chain too long and it just doesn't go with many things. :(

After our "quick stop" buying jewelry and getting average lemonade (we didn't know), it was time for the royal joust! Funnily enough I most enjoyed the hand-to-hand combat.

Must make note of the other random signs. The RF may play host to Renaissance Rentals and Frik 'n Frak, but it is mostly the home of turkey legs, fried things, and EVERYTHING on a stick. Plus Korn. Can't forget the korn.

After the jousts and the Hack & Slash comedy show (didn't get a pic =/) we went to have our midday snacks. Sis and I shared some seasoned oven-baked potato wedges. The name was all that was really good about them.. they were pretty crappy. Even with ketchup. Unfortunate.

The back of this one shop was just so atmospheric and peaceful! It was a lovely way to sell things :D.

My sister looks brilliant in photos. Well, she was walking away from me actually... completely ignoring my photographic attempts (I really was trying for the lemonade). People totally ignore me when I take pictures, I swear. Back to the point — this is frozen lemonade that we shared! It was quite good.

Haha, this was Macbeth "in 20 minutes or less"... although I'm not sure how they actually timed. Considering it's Macbeth, it was pretty hard to follow; I was racking my brain trying to remember the plot specifics lol. If I knew nothing about the story I woulda been screwed. There was also a 3-man improv show before them that I liked a lot, but didn't take a picture of.

OMG - my sweet treat! Cheesecake on a stick!!
Not a great picture of me.. can't stand when my hair does that!
(But.. y'know.. life goes on...)

Almost done! We got back to the house and my parents brought pizza to my sister's house! Whoop-dee-doo. I do like pizza, but not as much after filling myself with apple dumplings and cheesecake.
