This Post is Not Intennnse

Every once in a while a few things pop into my mind that I feel compelled to blog about. But leave it to me to have it happen at the worst possible time, when I have too much to do and not enough time.

First of all, I just saw Backstreet Boys on Conan and... hmmm. I honestly love BSB, namely the album Millennium. I was totally into them when I was like 8 or 9? Rough estimation. But I kinda feel about them the way I do about 80s music. If you try to make an "80s song" today, it'll be stupid. But authentic 80s songs, while quite often cheesy, are totally ok. An awesome classic boy band song from the 90s is great, but if they keep trying to come back they will keep failing. Adults who used to love them are too over it to be impressed by their new but the same poppy melodies, but the youngins are into Jo Bros 'n stuff. I'll just have to actually listen to some of their new/er album tracks though. I think a lot of it is that they're all like in their 30s (or nearly) now, so it just seems less appropriate. Simple choreography? Yeah..

Another topic: The moon? Uhh.. I'm still really confused about this because google isn't turning out a whole lot of info for me. I guess that shooting-a-missile-at-the-moon thing happened this morning but I didn't hear about it 'til after the fact. Still foggy on the details and results—that is, if it really happened. I don't understand why a bunch of astronomers are ok with just firing something at our lunar friend though.

Ewww when did I become "current events girl"? I was just about to say how I thought it was odd that Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize but I'm cringing at my use of commonplace news. I'll still say it though. Obviously it's because of his inspirational speeches and postitive attitude and such. Definitely premature though. If he really deserves it, the record will show in a few years. They could've waited those few years to be sure, but whatevs. We'll see if it impacts anything whatsoever.

Going to New York tomorrow!! Oh yeah! I'm terrible with exciting events cuz I put tons of extra pressure on myself to look and feel and have everything perfect. Make sure I'm completely prepared and all. Like now, I'm gonna go paint my nails just for this one day stint.

It's like the last warm day ever (of the year, at least it seems like) and I'm celebrating with a Java Chip Frappuccino. As if I don't have them all the time—even in the winter—anyway. But I went out in the beautiful world to get it and I'm wearing a skirt! Yeah, yeah, I know.. alert the media..

So I've been watching The Vampire Diaries. Which is pretty funny because at first I thought it looked so young-teen-ish and horrible, but after I actually saw it I was majorly impressed. I also thought the leads seemed potentially annoying and not good, but I like them now too. Nina Dobrev I'd seen on Degrassi but I wasn't feelin' her as vampire girl until I saw it. Blamin' it on the promos, cuz once I did see it I loved everything! In fact, I used the term "shit just got intennnse" in that giddy sort of way, so that proves it's good.

I really wanted to sound more interesting and post some pictures but I've been procrastinating all day and now I really don't have time or the concentration to do so. Hopefully soon!
